Thank you all, I am happy to be here!Jipes a écrit:Well first of all thanks to Burnside Records for taking the time to have this dialog with us, they are indeed quite some fans of Kelly Joe music here. As for the fact if this release is dispensable of not is rather about the interest/price ratio right ? 2 bonus songs and a remastering yes but it's maybe a bit short to promote the will to buy this album if we already have the original disc
I totally understand with your point.
If the unseen photographs, 24 bit re-mastering and "special" aspect of the 15 year Anniversary edition do not have enough value to purchase, then simply download the 2 new tracks from itunes.
My main goals in re-releasing " Lead Me On":
1. Burnside Records now has world-wide distribution and digital marketing, which it did not when this was first released. By re-issuing this as a special package I am able to have my sales reps around the USA re-introduce this to all the major retailers so he can sell more albums and gain greater exposure. His new record label " Black Hen" does not have this much ability.
2. I want to share Kelly Joe with a younger group of music fans that listen to music like Elliott Smith ( my old friend, RIP ) Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, etc...
3. Kelly Joe really hated the original artwork and he is excited about the new release and the new artwork. It is more "modern" and fits better with the rest of his CDs.
4. I love Kelly Joe and if I am not in the position to release a new CD then I will work with what I have!
All the best,
Nate
